Mamoon Syed brings a rare combination of corporate HR leadership and decades of experience serving mission-driven non-profit organizations. His work sits at the intersection of talent, leadership, culture, organizational effectiveness, and values-based leadership, helping institutions translate purpose into measurable organizational results through strategic and tactical workforce planning.

Throughout his career, Mamoon has held senior and top human resources executive leadership positions at some of the nation’s most respected healthcare and academic institutions, including Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Rady Children’s Hospital, and Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC). Across these organizations, he has led transformational efforts involving talent management, executive leadership development, employee engagement, organizational culture, workforce wellness, compensation and benefits strategy, succession planning, and large-scale organizational change.

Mamoon began his career at Mercy Health System, where he spent almost a decade in progressively expanding leadership roles, helping the organization receive numerous workplace excellence national recognitions, including the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.

In recognition of his leadership and impact on the profession, Mamoon was named HR Executive of the Year across all industries by the National Human Resource Association – Los Angeles in 2023.

Beyond his corporate work, Mamoon has devoted significant time to serving faith-based, educational, and community organizations. He has advised and served on the boards of national and regional Muslim nonprofit organizations focused on leadership development, education, civic engagement, philanthropy, and community advancement. His unique blend of executive leadership experience and nonprofit service enables him to bridge organizational excellence with values-based leadership, helping leaders and institutions navigate growth, change, culture, and mission-driven impact.
